Insight

Parents are looking for a safe, secure "home away from home" where your child can learn, play and grow. At Meadowbrook, we have designed a nurturing, creative place for infants to help their minds and bodies develop. Watch your infant take the first steps toward a bright future when sharing his or her early developmental experiences with Meadowbrook Preschool & Children's Center.

Infants are unique and have their own patterns for play, feeding and sleeping. At Meadowbrook, we use these patterns to guide and introduce daily activities that will prepare your infant for their next step in theor growing experience. Our trained teachers and staff offer a nurturing and creative environment for infants to develop their bodies and minds. We are committed to making this first transition away from home easy and natural for you and your child.

Your Infants Day at Meadowbrook

The experiences infants have during the early months and years of life are crucial to healthy brain development. Lots of personal attention and interaction between our teachers and your infant will promote basic cognitive and social skills. Singing, reading and talking are just some of the behaviors that support development during this critical stage.

Physical Development

Physical development of coordinated motor skills is a large part of an infant's first year. Physical activities help build strength and motor coordination with daily experiences that allow infants to practice fine-motor skills, hand/eye coordination, hand and full body movement, and more.

Brain Development

Infants begin to use and integrate their senses right away to explore their new world. Many different  brain development activities allow children to use one or more of their developing senses related to memory, spatial orientation, and cause and effect.

My First Words

Language and communication development is most profound during a child's first three years of life while the brain is developing and maturing. Word activities help develop skills in an environment rich with sounds, sights, and consistent exposure to speech and language.

My New Friends

Feelings of confidence, pride, trust, friendship, and humor are all part of social-emotional development. We utilize activities that promote early social interactions and conversations, develop facial expressions to communicate, and support self-identity.
